People Who Made It Big Into Soccer yeah

Soccer is famous throughout the world as a game of skill and excitement. It is full of twists and turns and is not a very easy game to predict.

Many people play this game from a young age with dreams of one day making it into the big time as a professional soccer player but alas not all of them make it.

But these following people definitely made it.

Edison Arantes Pele definitely needs no introduction. He was only 15 years old when he broke into the Brazilian world cup squad and managed to play as well as score two goals. Another of his claims to fame was to be named Athlete of the Century by the Olympic committee.

Pele had a wonderful 25 year playing career that produced around 1000 goals to his name. He was also selected as being one of the top 100 most influential sportspeople of the twentieth Century according to Time magazine.

An Argentinean of the same caliber as Pele was Diego Armando Maradona. This player also had talent to spare and just had a knack of scoring great goals.

His playing career lasted for about 26 years and made him a household name the world over. He was also in the news as much for his off the field antics as his on field prowess.

Bulgaria's answer to the complete soccer player was Hristo Stoichkov. From his humble beginnings playing for CSKA Sofia he soon hit the highlights with FC Barcelona with whom he won the Spanish title. His playing style certainly gave him fame and fortune but since he retired in 2003 he seems to have left the game behind.

Last but not least there is David Beckham. This man managed to represent his country of England in three world cups. David Beckham started his professional career aged just 16 and within 5 years he was playing for Manchester United and winning all before him. The pinnacle of David Beckham's career had to be captaining his country in the world cup of 2006.
